Skincare: How to Layer Your Daytime and Nighttime Routine for Healthy, Glowing Skin

The good news is that there's a simple rule of thumb to follow when it comes to layering your skincare products. As a general rule, you want to apply your products from thinnest to thickest consistency. This ensures that each product gets fully absorbed into your skin. Layering skincare allows you to maximize the benefits of active ingredients by following their consistency (thin to thick). For example, a serum (thin) would be applied to the skin before a thicker topical."

As skincare professionals, we know that taking care of your skin requires a proper routine and quality products. With the right steps and skincare items, you can achieve healthy and radiant skin. Today, I'm excited to share with you a step-by-step guide on how to layer your daytime and nighttime skincare routine using the outstanding Bio-tique products, now including a Retinol in the nighttime routine.

Let's begin with the daytime routine:

Step 1: Cleanse Start by washing your face with Bio-tique's Revitalize Cleanser. This cleanser is gentle yet effective, removing dirt, oil, and impurities, leaving your skin feeling clean and fresh. Found it HERE. Have acne, try our Clarifying Cleanser.

Step 2: Tone Next, apply Bio-tique's Balancing Toner to remove any remaining impurities and restore the pH balance of your skin. This toner helps your skin absorb the following products more efficiently. Bio- Tone

Step 3: Serum The third step is applying Bio-tique's Bio- C. Our Vit-C serum is a highly potent blend of antioxidants, intensified with a Dual Trans-Epidermal Carrier. It boasts an 8x increase in collagen synthesis and anti-oxidant protection, while also reducing wrinkle depth by 63% in just 28 days and protecting against photoaging of the skin. Bio-C Or our Bio Needle-less Serum: Our advanced formula, containing a potent copper complex, Hyaluronic Acid, and Niacinamide, fights signs of aging by reducing wrinkles and improving fine lines. Within two weeks of use, it delivers equivalent results to one injection of collagen filler, firming skin by 13 times and reducing wrinkles by 15%. It's a painless, topical alternative to injectable fillers and toxins and boosts elastin production by 190% in just 11 days. Please note to not use these two serums together. The Vit C and Copper peptides make each other less effective. If you have acne, you can add our Acne Control Serum

Step 4: Eye Cream Don't neglect the delicate skin around your eyes! Apply Bio-tique's Revitalizing Eye Cream to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles. This eye cream nourishes and rejuvenates the skin around your eyes, leaving you looking well-rested and youthful. Neutraleye+ Eye Complex

Step 5: Moisturize with our Bio-cream. Our Intensive Recovery Cream is designed to reduce sensitivity and increase moisture levels. It's perfect for combating irritation caused by active treatments, such as Hydroxy Acids and Retinoids. This cream contains a blend of ingredients, including four types of ceramides, that hydrate and repair the skin. It regulates inflammation enzymes, reduces Trans-Epidermal Water Loss by 15%, and improves cell communication. It also protects against harsh environmental factors. Bio-cream or Bio-Peptide which is rich in peptides, ceramides, Vitamin E, and other skin-restoring agents formulated to fight against signs of aging and hydrate dry skin, restoring a youthful, healthy glow.

If you want to add facial oil, this is where you would add it. Oils will lock everything in! Jojoba, argan, squalane, and marula oils are great if you tend to skew normal to oily because they don't feel too heavy or clog pores easily.

Step 6: Sunscreen! You should be wearing an SPF every day, even if you’re not going outside. UV rays still go through the windows of your house. UV exposure seems to be responsible for 80% of visible facial aging signs. We love Bio-protect Tinted SPF 44. It’s a 100% physical sunscreen combined with a moisturizing base and sheer, universal tint. Great under make-up or without to give you an all-over even skin tone.

Now, let's move on to the nighttime routine:

Step 1: Oil-based cleanser. Cleansing with an oil-based balm or cleanser is highly recommended because oil dissolves oil. Oil-based cleansers are incredibly effective in dissolving excess oils in the skin, as they penetrate deep into the pores to melt dirt and grime. Additionally, they infuse your pores with powerful antioxidants naturally present in plant-based oils, which help to nourish and protect your skin. By using an oil-based cleanser, you can effectively remove impurities while also keeping your skin healthy and hydrated.

Step 2: Double cleanse, use a gentle cleanser. Use the same one as in the morning routine.

Step 3: Tone Next, apply Bio-tique's Balancing Toner to remove any remaining impurities and restore your skin's pH balance.

Step 4: Serums. Here you can use the Vit C or Needless serum (whichever you didn’t use using the day.) Please note to not use either of these serums if following step 4 and applying a retinol.

Step 5: Apply retinol. This step should only be done 2 to 3 nights a week if you are just getting started or have very sensitive skin. It is never recommended to use retinals during the day because retinals can cause your skin to be sensitive to the sun, resulting in redness (trust me, I learned that the hard way when I was younger!) Boosting collagen production, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and improving the texture and tone of your skin are all benefits of retinol. For those seeking youthful, healthy skin, this serum is a game-changer. Try our bio-renewal

Step 6: Eye Cream

Step 7: Moisturize The final step is to apply Bio-cream or Bio-Peptide which will hydrate and nourish your skin while you sleep.

Bio-tique products, are exceptional when it comes to skincare. Following this step-by-step guide will help you achieve healthy, glowing, and youthful skin. Consistency and patience are key, so enjoy the process and watch your skin transform!
